The Indigenous Eye Health Unit (IEHU) from the University of Melbourne has released a roadmap to Close the Gap for Vision. This was endorsed in principle by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee at a meeting on 7 December 2011. Members were keen to further explore how the implementation will be undertaken. A letter is being drafted by Vision 2020 Australia to formalise the endorsement in principle. The IEHU has discussed the roadmap with Minister Snowdon and is expecting to hear from government in the near future.
