The Australian Government has recently released a public Beta version of its Style Manual, which is the authoritative source of rules and guidance for government writing and editing. Before releasing the Live product, the public is being asked to test the Manual and provide feedback.
The new Style Manual includes a focus on inclusive language – especially around disability – which will be relevant to the work of Vision 2020 Australia and many of our members. We are working with our Independence and Participation Committee to devise any potential feedback on the Beta version in relation to inclusion language and accessibility.
