This submission to the Department of Health’s ‘National Injury Prevention Strategy 2020-2030’ consultation aims to highlight the importance of including eye injury prevention within the broader national injury prevention framework.
Vision 2020 Australia highlighted the significant role eye sector organisations play in the awareness, prevention and treatment of eye injuries; and the contributions our members make towards the national goal of reducing the prevalence of all injury causes.
Vision 2020 Australia concurred with the priority population groups identified by the National Injury Prevention Strategy, and indicated areas of common advocacy for the eye sector specifically directed towards those groups.
